|Rain had the final say as Challengers were on top against defending champs; Shashin Vyas (4 wkts) stood out with the ball|
Villa Park faces the new comers to division 1 Challengers on a nice morning at GH2. Challengers won the toss by default and decided to put VPCC into bat. It was like De'javu as Arif Hockla started briskly timing the ball extremely well but on the other hand Imtiaz brothers looked awful with the bat, consuming many deliveries for absolutely no runs. Even Uzair Ali could repeat his heroics but Fawad Agha (36) once again looked in a very good touch, but failed to convert into a big score as Shashin Vyas (4) and Narahari (2) ate up chuck of VPCC middle order wickets. Villa Park once again looked out of sort and at times dismal with the bat. Thanks to Arsalan Ali's valiant effort at the (23*) Villa Park put a low par but respectable 133 on the board. None of the lower order could support Arsalan at all.
Challengers started their innings and they looked nothing but confident, in fact jitters hit VPCC bowling gang, as seasoned campaigners like Haris Imtiaz and Ahmad Bakhshi (1) bowled too full and god smacked around by technically solid Challengers. Sever thunderstorm came to washed out the game. Challengers counted them selves unlucky not to finish the game but VPCC was also counting on it's come back capability that they have shown time and time again. Shashin Vyas stood out with the ball in the unfinished game. Points were split as once again VPCC opponent refused to play reschedule game.
