Chicago Blues beat Patriots in Pre-Quarter Finals to earn a spot in the Quarter Finals!

Batting first CBCC were in trouble after a poor start. Rohit, Amiras, Shwetal, and Vishal were back in the pavilion without doing much damage on fine bowling and sharp catching by Patriots. Once again the middle order of CBCC stood strong and Tushar & Kalias's partnership took CBCC to 90/4 by the 15 overs mark. CBCC set a target of 166 for the Patriots.

Keyur got the wicket of Sunny caught behind in the very first over and then got Suresh lbw in the second over to give CBCC a good start with the ball. Atul chipped in with the price wicket of Shiva when he was caught on long off (fine catch by Tushar). Jaimin did well to rebuild the Patriot innings by scoring a timely 50. However, Vishal's change to bring Jay back into the attack paid off when Jay's first ball resulted in the wicket of Jaimin (caught behind by Tushar). Pratik did some slogging in the death overs but the required run rate kept on climbing and wickets kept on falling for the Patriots.

In the end CBCC prevailed by holding off Patriots 34 runs shy of the target.

Tushar was awarded the MoM for his fine innings of 41 that resurrected the CBCC innings and three outstanding catches (including Shiva, and Jaimin).
