Sohail Rehmani scored thunderous 107*; as Villa Park demolish Bright Future by 148 runs After loosing two consecutive night matches, Villa Park faced Bright Future in the day version of the game. Surprisingly Bright Future put Villa Park in to bat after winning the toss. Sohail Rehmani (107*) opened the innings with Mujtaba Baqir (13). Bright Future bowling looked unthreatening from the get go. Lack pace and swing cause no trouble for VPCC batters in the initial going and with time batting became even easier. Both batsmen especially Sohail displayed the power of the willow and dispatch boundaries at regular interval. After loosing Mujtabas wicket Zeyad (50) joined the party and played his traditional shots all across the field. But star of day was Sohail; as he showed his vintage power and aggression to score the 1st century for VPCC. His dominance was very well supported by Zeyad Imtiaz and Fawad Agha (53*) who is justifying his title given my his teammates of Mr. Consistent. Fawad scored his first fifty of this season and finished the innings with Haris Imtiaz (33*) to a massive 278 runs in allotted 30 overs. Bright Future had their work cut for them today chasing this huge total in extreme heat against a competitive bowling line-up. Haris Imtiaz (1) and Muhammed Ahmed dented Bright Future early with quick wickets. Other than Omer Khan (20) and Zeeshan Jamal (33) no other batsmen reach double figures. M. Ahmed, Fawad and Furqan (2) shared 2 wickets apiece, as Bright Future faltered for 130 runs. Sohail Rehmani claimed the best player award for playing one of the most memorable innings for Villa Park.
