“Demolition Man” NASER turns PLAYERS to rubble

Naser scores 120 off 49 balls with 11 sixes and 7 fours gave hardly a chance through the classic. He took the risk which is well worth preserving his shots in an album: the stepping out to spinners and lofts straight down the ground to Saqib for consecutive sixes, and the unbelievable 34 runs in an over, even the sweep shots to the ropes, all ended in demoralizing and destroying Players bowlers' psyche.

It all started with bad field conditions at the Carol Stream ground due to overnight storm and rain. The game was moved to the Bolingbrook ground and was reduced to 25 overs a side. Galaxy won the toss and elected to bat, and were once again given an excellent start by Asif and Safder on tough batting condition for the initial 5 overs. Asif was the first one to go and in came the “Demolition Man” who made a promise to his captain and the team to score a hundred in this game.

Naser showed no anxiety whatsoever, and was dominating right from the initial overs, with only one thing in mind “DEMOLITING”. He decimated the player attack with sheer brilliance and by the time he was out in the 19th over, he had left galaxy way past 180. He was brutal on Danish scoring 34 runs in his over and Danish is so devastated that Naser hits him for sixes in his nightmares.

The galaxians managed to score 243 from their allotted 25 overs, thanks to excellent effort from Ahmed, Atef and Farrukh in the final 6 overs. Ahmed scored 28 with 2 sixes and 2 fours and Atef scored a fiery 22 from 2 sixes and four in 6 balls.

Players started their innings with a good opening partnership and a mini slogging episode from Azam. They were eventually bowled out at 149 runs. Safder from Galaxy was exceptional in bowling by getting the first four wickets of the PLAYERS batsmen’s. Irfan closed the innings for the galaxy by grabbing 3 quick wickets in his 2 over spell.

When we all play together we win together. GO GALAXY!!!
